Nicole Eggert says cancer treatment left her facing mounting medical bills and lost income

Nicole Eggert told Fox News Digital that her breast cancer treatment has left her facing ongoing medical bills and lost income, straining her household and limiting her ability to work.

Fox News Digital reported Eggert, 54, was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma in December 2023. She said her treatment schedule — which she described as requiring treatment “three-to-five at least days a week” — made it impossible to commit to production work and meant she would not have regular income while bills continued.

Eggert said she is “a 100% single parent” and described the financial pressure: “I had to completely come to the realization that I wasn’t gonna have income, and yet the bills don’t stop,” Fox News Digital quoted her as saying.

The report says Eggert underwent a mastectomy soon after her diagnosis and that, in August 2025, she had her other breast removed with reconstructive surgery. Fox News Digital also reported Eggert described her cancer status as “NED” (no evidence of disease).

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Eggert partnered with Novartis and discussed her experience on the Voices of MORE podcast with Amy Robach and Dr. Helen Coons, Fox News Digital reported. She told the outlet that relying on community and asking for help were important parts of her journey.
