Paxton-backed French projected to oust incumbent in Texas Railroad Commission GOP runoff
Bo French was projected to defeat incumbent Jim Wright in the Republican runoff for Texas Railroad Commission, Decision Desk HQ reported.
French, a rancher and mineral owner, had the backing of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and GOP donors Tim Dunn and Farris Wilks, according to Houston Public Media.
The Railroad Commission regulates Texas’ oil and gas industry. The projected result hands control of the GOP nomination for the commission seat to French.
