RNC says Dallas midterm convention ‘lived up’ to ‘Trump-a-palooza’ nickname

DALLAS — The Republican National Committee said its first-ever midterm convention in Dallas kicked off Wednesday and “lived up” to its “Trump-a-palooza” nickname.

Posters of President Donald Trump — from images of Oval Office meetings to a triumphant pose in Butler, Pa. — dotted the walls of the American Airlines Center, the committee said.

Paraphernalia and signage with pro-Trump themes filled the arena as the two-day event began, the RNC said.

The Republican National Committee described the gathering as a two-day convention aimed at energizing supporters, the committee said.
