Sen. Rand Paul raises concern Russia could ‘weaponize’ plague after Siberian lab worker’s Oct. 2 death

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) raised concerns that Russia could be conducting biological weapons research involving the plague after a worker at a Siberian laboratory died Oct. 2, The Hill reported.

The Hill said the worker was 28 years old and died Oct. 2 after being hospitalized with a severe case of pneumonia, and that global health officials are seeking more information about the death.
