Ole Miss to replace Nike with seven-year Adidas apparel, uniform and sideline deal
Ole Miss Athletics will replace longtime partner Nike with Adidas as its official footwear, uniform, apparel and sideline partner beginning July 1, 2027, under a seven-year agreement running through June 2034, the athletics department announced, according to SuperTalk Mississippi.
A source told SuperTalk Mississippi News that Adidas will pay Ole Miss more than $20 million annually for the athletic apparel rights and will inject funds into name, image and likeness (NIL) deals for student-athletes.
The report says Adidas will provide footwear, apparel and equipment to 18 Ole Miss varsity programs and that every Ole Miss student-athlete will be eligible to participate in affiliate marketing opportunities through Adidas’ NIL Ambassador Network once the partnership begins.
Ole Miss had been partnered with Nike since 1999, the report noted. Two Ole Miss players — quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and running back Kewan Lacy — had signed with Nike ahead of the 2026 football season, SuperTalk Mississippi reported.
Ole Miss athletics director Keith Carter, who has held the position since 2019, was quoted in the report saying the partnership will provide increased NIL opportunities and help the program “attract and retain elite talent and compete for championships.”
Adidas North America president John Miller was quoted calling Ole Miss “an ascendant SEC program” and saying Adidas pursued the university to bolster its portfolio of NCAA partners, the report said.
The report added that Adidas and Ole Miss officials have begun collaborative discussions on branding, colors and future uniform design, and that the university will retain creative liberties with its uniforms.
Ole Miss officials also highlighted recent on-field success since 2019, including two team national championships (baseball and women’s golf) and appearances at high postseason levels, and said they expect the Adidas partnership to build on that momentum, the report said.
