U.S. Replaces Carrier in Middle East; Supply Problems Likely to Persist, Reporter Says

The U.S. military replaced the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Middle East with another aircraft carrier, Pentagon reporter John Ismay reported.

The move occurred amid what Ismay described as a crew morale crisis, he wrote.

Ismay, a Pentagon reporter and Navy veteran, said the carrier swap does not eliminate broader logistical problems in the region.

He wrote that challenges facing supply ships operating in the area will most likely remain the same, according to his reporting.
