U.S. strike on suspected drug boat kills one, leaves two survivors
The U.S. military said it attacked a boat it accused of smuggling drugs in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Tuesday, killing one person and leaving two survivors.
The military described the vessel as suspected of drug smuggling, according to a U.S. military statement. It did not provide immediate additional details about the strike or the nationalities of those aboard.
The U.S. military said the incident brings the number of people killed in boat strikes to at least 208.
