Video shows five exercises to prevent, relieve pregnancy pain
A video produced for NPR and featuring footage from Expecting and Empowered demonstrates five exercises intended to prevent and relieve common pregnancy pains, NPR producer CJ Riculan said.
The video identifies discomforts such as hemorrhoids, leg cramps and sciatica as examples of the aches the exercises are meant to address, according to Expecting and Empowered.
Expecting and Empowered presents the routine as both preventive and therapeutic, saying the movements can help alleviate the physical strains that often accompany pregnancy.
The video, credited to CJ Riculan and Expecting and Empowered, is available through NPR’s platforms, where viewers can see the exercises demonstrated and learn how they might fit into prenatal care, the producers said.
