Woman sues Downtown Las Vegas bar after allegedly injured riding ‘Gyrating Johnson’

An Illinois woman has sued a Downtown Las Vegas bar, saying she was injured after being thrown from the establishment’s “World Famous Gyrating Johnson Mechanical Member Bull” ride.

Fox News, citing local station 8 News Now, reported that the complaint was filed in Clark County District Court by Amber Zabran. The suit alleges the incident occurred on Nov. 22, 2025.

According to the complaint quoted by Fox News, Zabran was injured when “her foot and/or ankle got caught under the main shaft area of the ride where there is a large cut-out section.” The filing says the incident left her with “great pain of body and mind, including serious and painful physical injuries, as well as shock and injury to her nervous system entailing mental stress, anxiety and anguish.”

The complaint names The Nerd, a bar in Downtown Las Vegas, as the operator of the ride. Fox News reported that the bar’s website promotes the attraction and uses the slogan, “Ride it, slide it, stay on top of the World Famous Gyrating Johnson Mechanical Member Bull ride.”

Fox News also reported the lawsuit seeks special and actual damages, medical expenses and attorney’s fees, and says Zabran and her friends were not asked to sign waivers before attempting the ride.
