Police warning of scam threatening arrest without payment

A scam is going around North Mississipp that is threatening arrest if a payment is not made, according to North Mississippi law enforcement officials.

From the Lee County Sheriff’s Department:

Current scam:
Callers posing as someone from our office threatening you with a warrant if you don’t pay a fee. Do not talk to them. It is a scam, hang up

This is a common nationwide scam that has been reported before. Beware anyone asking for money over the phone.
