Scam calls circulating north Mississippi and beyond

A series of scam telephone calls are being reported in several cities across north Mississippi and beyond. The calls appear to be coming from a 1-877 or sometimes a blocked number.

The calls claim to be from the IRS with threats being made if you do not pay a fine immediately. This type of scam has circulated before with the IRS issuing a warning to not fall for it.
