It’s time: show up to support the football team, band, cheerleaders and more

The high school football season officially gets under way tomorrow with the first day of practice for Tippah county teams. And the first day of practice means games under the Friday night lights are a few short weeks away.

Football games are great opportunities to show community support. They are typically one of the largest weekly gatherings in this are. Show up, socialize, support your local schools and kids who are out representing your community.

This will be the first year of north Tippah’s new band program. You can show up to support Falkner, Walnut or Ripley cheerleaders. The award winning Ripley Tiger band will put on a show for you.

Check out the schedules of Walnut, Falkner and Ripley. Gather some friends, pick some games and go. Say hello to people you haven’t seen in awhile. Cheer on the team. Cut the coach and the refs some slack.

Add to the experience. Every season, memories are made under the lights that last a lifetime. Be a part.
