Tippah athletes shine at NEMCABB all star baseball game
Six Tippah County Athletes competed in the NEMCABB all star baseball contest and the rest of Northeast Mississippi got to see the talents that have been on display this past season.
A trio of Ripley players showed off their skill sets: Jey Johnson played center, laid a perfect sac bunt and came into the game as a base runner to show off his speed. Will Long pitched a pair of shutout innings. And Ben Fryar knocked a lie of doubles and turned a first inning web gym en route to being named the Offensive MVP.
In the 1/2A contest, three local products contributed to their teams wins.
Pine Grove’s Austin Parks was the starting first baseman. Falkner’s Lane Elliott pitches two scoreless innings. Walnut’s Ryan Holley has the only multiple hit game for his squad.
