Blue Mountain Christian University is inviting former students and friends to its BMCU Ministerial Alumni Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. The dinner celebrates 70 years of ministerial education at the Blue Mountain school. Advance ticket sales close Wednesday, Oct. 21, according to the university.
The 2026 Ministerial Alumni & Friends Dinner will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison. It is timed for the Tuesday night of the Mississippi Baptist Convention’s annual meeting, when many pastors and church leaders from across the state, including from Tippah County, are already gathered in the Jackson area.

Seven decades of training ministers in Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain Christian University, known for most of its history as Blue Mountain College, has trained ministers and church workers for generations. The school’s ministerial program has sent graduates into pulpits, mission fields, and church staff roles across Mississippi and beyond, and many local congregations in Tippah and surrounding counties count BMCU alumni among their leaders.
The 70-year milestone gives those alumni a chance to reconnect with classmates and faculty during a week when much of the state’s Baptist leadership is in one place.
