Bolivar Disc Golf Tournament Set Nov. 7 at Pleasant Run

Disc golfers from Middleton and across Hardeman County have a chance to compete close to home next month. The Bolivar disc golf tournament, called the Fall Fling 2026 Pleasant Run Disc Golf Tournament, is set for Saturday, Nov. 7, at Pleasant Run Creek Park in Bolivar, according to Hatchie Press.

The event will include two 18-hole rounds. Player check-in runs from 8 to 9 a.m. that morning.

Bolivar disc golf tournament entry fees and prizes

Registration is open online at discgolfscene.com. Fees are set by division:

  • Professionals: $35
  • Amateurs: $30
  • Youth: $20

Every entry includes a player pack and lunch. The tournament will also hold two closest-to-the-pin contests, and a $100 prize is up for grabs for anyone who records an ace (a hole-in-one).

Sponsors and sponsorship spots

The tournament is sponsored by 1010 Discs, Aeneas, and Bolivar Energy Authority. Organizers are still looking for local backers. Hole sponsorships cost $100, and tournament sponsorships are available for $200.

A growing sport in rural West Tennessee

Disc golf follows the same basic idea as traditional golf, but players throw flying discs at elevated metal baskets instead of hitting balls into cups. The sport needs little equipment, and most public courses are free to play, which has helped it catch on in small towns and county parks across the Mid-South.

Bolivar, the Hardeman County seat, is a short drive north of Middleton, so the tournament is within easy reach for players in Middleton and northern Tippah County.
