MEMA warns of damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail, possible tornado
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency along with the National Weather service is issuing a warning about the threat of severe weather overnight. This storm system could produce damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and a tornado can’t be ruled out.
From MEMA:
“Tonight through tomorrow morning Mississippi is still expected to get strong to severe storms throughout the state. Early today will be continued scattered thunderstorms with increasing coverage late today/tonight into early Saturday. A few of these storms may be severe and fast moving. Damaging winds will be the main threat as storms will be tracking at upwards of 60 mph. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.”
