NEMCC campus in Ripley has construction crews preparing to break ground
The NEMCC campus in Ripley is getting closer to the start of construction with equipment and workers on site on Friday preparing to break ground.
Several pieces of equipment and a temporary construction office are on the site on Friday.
Officials at NEMCC, including president Ricky Ford, met with the architects from Pryor Morrow, who are working on the plans for the campus, in May.
The land where the campus is to be built was cleared off in the latter parts of 2018. Plans have been in place to build in Ripley for several years, with the county having bought and transferred land to Northeast in 2016.
