North MS police agency announce six felony drug arrests
Police in North Mississippi announced today six felony drug arrests that occured over the last month.
From the Booneville PD:
On 01/06/2019, a Booneville patrol officer conducted a stop of a motor vehicle traveling on East Market Street for a misdemeanor traffic offense. Investigation during the stop led to the arrest of the driver, Crystal Dawn Evans, 34 of Booneville, for multiple misdemeanor charges as well as felony possession of methamphetamine. Her bond for the felony charge was set at $5,000.00. This case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury.
On 01/07/2019, a Booneville patrol officer conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle traveling on Brewer Street for a misdemeanor traffic offense. During the stop, the driver was identified as Sarina Eve Cofield, 24 of Saltillo, MS. Her passenger was identified as Kevin Wayne Davis, 34 of Booneville, MS. Investigation during the stop led to a search of the motor vehicle in which illegal narcotics were discovered. Both subjects were taken into custody. Mr. Davis was later charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and served with an outstanding warrant with our agency. Ms, Cofield was charged with felony possession of more than 1/10 of a gram but less than 2 grams of methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $5,000.00. Her case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury. Mr. Davis’ cases will be heard in Booneville Municipal Court.
On 01/01/2019, a Booneville patrol officer came into contact with a suspicious male subject loitering at a business located on Second Street. He was identified as Willie Leroy Agnew, 38 of Booneville. During the encounter, he was found to be in possession of a felony amount of methamphetamine. He was also charged with tampering with physical evidence. His bond was set at $10,000.00. This case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury.
On 01/01/2019, a Booneville patrol officer responded to a report of a disturbance at a motel on Second Street. The officer investigated and determined the suspect causing the disturbance, identified as 28 year-old Jasman Shernine Cager of Rienzi, had fled the scene leaving his vehicle behind. It was later determined the vehicle contained more than one ounce of marijuana. Mr. Cager was ultimately arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. His bond was set at $5,000.00. This case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury.
On 01/19/2019, a Booneville patrol officer investigated a suspicious vehicle behind a residence on Oak Drive. The officer located the vehicle and discovered two subjects out with it. The two subjects, Christopher Adam Horne, 29 of Booneville, and Donald Ray Smith, 55 of Blue Mountain, MS, were each discovered to be in possession of a felony amount of methamphetamine. Mr. Horne was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Each was set a $5,000.00 bond. This case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury.
