NWS issues prediction for snow/ice over weekend
The National Weather Service in Memphis is predicting a light amount snow/ice and wintry mix accumulation over the weekend that is substantially less than some earlier models.
Earlier in the week, some models had a forecast that signaled the possibility for a large scale event in North Mississippi but those threats have primarily moved to the Northeast of us, more towards the Carolina’s and North Georgia.
From the NWS:
Still a chance of wintry weather in the forecast for this weekend. The low pressure of interest was still over the eastern Pacific Ocean Wednesday afternoon, so a lot can change between now and this weekend.
As always, be weather prepared and consider buying supplies that could come in handy in a snow storm , like generators or battery powered radio.
