Parent company of 3 Mississippi hospitals filing bankruptcy
The parent company of three Mississippi hospitals is filing bankruptcy according to a press release from the company.
Curae Health, based in Russellville Alabama, will seek bankruptcy protection that will apply to their hospitals in Amory, Batesville and Clarksdale.
Gilmore Hospital in Amory was acquired by Curae just last May.
It is feared that government healthcare cuts and other factors could lead to more rural hospital closings according to the Mississippi Hospital Association.
