Police respond to drive by shooting in city limits of Ripley
Police responded to a drive by shooting in the early morning hours of Monday, according to residents in the area and confirmed by local police.
Shortly after midnight on Monday, May 4th 3-4 bullets were fired into a home on Sherry Lane in Ripley. The person that fired the shots was believed to be in a white car.
According to a local resident, multiple 9 mm shell casings were found.
“Police responded and found 3 9mm casings, two in front of my shrubs and one in the ditch of my neighbors house directly in front of ours,” the neighbor to the house that was shot into told TippahNews.com.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported and there is no motive behind the incident as of yet. Calls to the City of Ripley Police department regarding and additional information were not returned as of the publication
Sherry Lane is between West Ripley Baptist Church and Ripley United Pentecostal church in Ripley.
