Ripley Arts veteran takes manager position at north Mississippi theatre

The Claude Gentry Theatre in Baldwyn, MS has a new part-time manager and it’s our very own Tippah County resident, Amy Bain. Amy has played integral roles in all areas of The Dixie Theatre in Ripley, as well as involvement with other theatres in the area for many years.

According to Bain, when the Claude Gentry Theatre advertised the open management position, she was eager to apply. With over twenty years of experience in the arts, Amy was a no-brainer for the job.

The Claude Gentry Theatre hosts events every month, including “2nd Saturday Live”, a live music event broadcast on WFTA Power 101.9 FM. Amy is excited to begin work with the theatre and has some new and exciting plans to bring to the table. Stay tuned!
