TEPA Connect crosses over 2500 high speed internet customers, sets timeline for all to be connected

TEPA Connect, the high speed internet subsidiary of Tippah Electric, crossed over 2500 customers connected to their services recently according to Brandon Presley.

Presley, North District Public Service Commissioner, was in Ripley to celebrate this on Tuesday.

“This is another great example of how electric cooperatives in Mississippi are bringing high speed internet to customers who had no hope even four years ago,” Presley said.

Presley said that TEPA was given over $12 million in federal and state funds to help complete the project.

According to Presley, the customers currently connected are in Tippah and Benton counties, but eventually every Tippah Electric customer will have access to the high speed internet option.

He states that they are shooting for Mid-March for everyone to have access.
