Ripley Homecoming parade returns Thursday; downtown procession starts at 6:30 p.m.
RIPLEY — Ripley High School’s Homecoming parade will return to downtown Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m., followed by a community pep rally at the school’s football field.
It will be the first Homecoming parade since the 1980s, according to Ripley Main Street’s announcement.
The procession is scheduled to begin near First Baptist Church and end near First Methodist Church. Participants will include the Homecoming Court, cheerleaders, Pom Squad, Tiger Band and football team.
Organizers encourage residents to bring lawn chairs, wear black and gold and gather along the route. The community pep rally is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ripley High School football field.
Homecoming events continue Friday, Sept. 25, when Ripley hosts the Booneville Blue Devils. The court presentation and crowning are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with kickoff at 7 p.m.
