Mississippi Emergency Management Agency urges flood victims to document, report damage
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) urged residents affected by recent flooding to file insurance claims, photograph damage to their homes and report losses to their county and MEMA, the agency said.
MEMA said residents can report damage using its online self-report tool at msema.org/report-damage. The agency said users should select their county of residence and complete the form.
The agency cautioned that the self-report tool is not an application for assistance, MEMA said.
MEMA encouraged residents to document damage with photos and to file insurance claims as part of the reporting process, the agency said.
