Mississippi identifies cause of driver’s licenses not scanning at TSA
The Mississippi Driver Service Bureau said it has identified an issue that caused some state driver’s licenses to fail to scan properly at TSA checkpoints and other locations.
The bureau said motorists with affected licenses can schedule an appointment online for June 23 or later at the Driver Service Bureau office nearest them to receive a replacement license free of charge.
The bureau apologized for the inconvenience and said it appreciates the public’s patience as officials work to resolve the problem.
The agency did not provide additional technical details about the issue in its announcement.
