The ACT announced Sunday’s national administration scheduled for June 14 has been canceled because of low registration. Students were moved to other sites and told to check their ACT accounts.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said it is hosting band camp this week and will post photos of the activities to a Flickr album.

The Gaye Roden Carr Aquatic Center said pool rentals are now available for birthdays, parties and special events. Interested parties should contact Emily Bell to reserve dates.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said in a social media post that summer camps are under way on campus, with “future Tigers” learning new skills and building confidence.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said students met new classmates and took part in orientation activities it described as “full of Tiger pride and excitement.” The college said one last summer orientation remains and provided a registration link.

Dr. Justin Treloar, division head for languages at Northeast, has received the Northeast Way Award for his dedication to students and colleagues.

Members of Northeast’s Iota Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa presented a $2,700 donation to the North Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross, Northeast said.

Members of Northeast’s board of trustees are attending the Mississippi Association of Community College Trustees’ annual conference in Biloxi, the college said.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said it presented the MACCC Sports Hall of Fame award on campus to former player Robert Henry after he missed the spring induction.
