The Gaye Roden Carr Aquatic Center announced pool rentals for birthdays, parties and special events this summer. Officials said swim lesson dates will be released soon.

NEMCC said it is seeking lifeguards for the summer, open to graduating high school seniors and current students. Applicants must be certified or willing to earn certification.

Northeast said commencement ceremonies will be held May 14-18, 2026, at the Bonner Arnold Coliseum on the Booneville campus, with live streaming available.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said it recognized 16 Spring 2026 completion candidates in its Prison Education Program, including students who earned certificates and completed HiSET. The college described the program as a partnership with the Mississippi Humanities Council.

The college said it honored graduates from respiratory care, radiologic technology, medical laboratory technology and medical assisting programs in a social media post.
