Jamyla Elliott and Graceyn Smith from Northeast Mississippi Community College earned top honors at the State Art Show held in Scooba, Mississippi.

Students in the Christian Nursing Organization’s ADN Nursing program donated baby items to three local pregnancy resource centers as part of a spring service project, the group said.

An organization thanked its facilities team for work last week, saying staff supported orientations, lawn events and a science fair and worked behind the scenes to keep operations running smoothly, the organization said.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said Tyler Samaniego has been promoted to the Boston Red Sox and could make his major league debut in Boston. The college said he will wear No. 78 and is the first Tiger to reach the majors.
