NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE — The college held a ceremony last night at Tiger Stadium to unveil its newly renovated Alumni Pavilion. The event included a dedication to Dr. William “Bill” Jackson, a former student and supporter of Northeast.
Dr. Jackson, a former Tiger football player and student government president, became a longtime Corinth physician and supporter of the college. He was named Alumnus of the Year in 1977 and was inducted into the Northeast Alumni Hall of Fame in 2014, according to college officials.
College representatives said the pavilion will serve as a space for Tigers to reconnect, celebrate, and honor their roots. The college emphasized its pride in recognizing Jackson’s legacy and his ongoing contributions to the community. “Once a Tiger, always a Tiger,” officials added.
