NEMCC Instructor Presents DNP Project on Human Trafficking, Named Outstanding DNP Student by Delta State

Lauren Sparks, a nursing instructor at Northeast Mississippi Community College, presented her Doctor of Nursing Practice project on human trafficking at the Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Convention in Tupelo, the college said.

Delta State University named Sparks the Most Outstanding DNP Student for her first semester, the university said.

NEMCC said Sparks delivered the presentation to nursing students and faculty from across Mississippi and that the project was intended to raise awareness of human trafficking.

The college said it is proud of Sparks’ accomplishments and that her work is having an impact in health care and beyond.
