Student credits advisor, faculty at Northeast Mississippi Community College for nursing success
Kamiron Harris of Baldwyn said she met her advisor, Mary Beth Reeves, who helped create a plan that set her on a path to a nursing career at Northeast Mississippi Community College, Harris said.
Harris said the guidance continued after enrollment and throughout the practical nursing program. She said instructors challenged and encouraged her and that they were invested in her success.
Harris said she built friendships and gained hands-on experience, including attending nursing conventions across Mississippi, and graduated confident to begin her career. “Northeast didn’t just prepare me to become a nurse, it made me a better person,” she said.
Northeast Mississippi Community College said students receive advising from their first appointment through graduation. The college directs prospective students to its website, NEMCC.edu, for information and applications.
