Booneville police hosted a Pistol Optics Fundamentals and Proficiency Course Aug. 13-14, the Booneville Police Department said.
The two-day course, offered in partnership with Spearpoint Range, brought together officers from several local agencies for advanced training on red-dot optic systems, the department said.
Despite unseasonably hot weather, participating officers completed rigorous field exercises designed to improve operational proficiency and community safety, the department said.
The department thanked local businesses and community members who donated hydration supplies and provided lunch, saying the support kept personnel safe, healthy and focused during the demanding training, the department said.
