Cold front pushes south, ends severe storm threat in Mid-South, radar update says

At 4:20 p.m., a radar update said the cold front pushed south of the area, ending the threat of severe thunderstorms.

The update said lingering showers will continue across the Mid-South, with elevated thunderstorms expected over northeast Mississippi for the next few hours.

The radar update said flash flooding remained the primary concern through early evening.

The update warned residents not to drive through flooded roads.
