Forecast model shows storms possible if front stalls

A Warn-on-Forecast System (WoFS) run indicates storms could develop in a highlighted blue area if a frontal boundary stalls over the region, the WoFS output showed.

The WoFS run said if the front clears the area, impacts should be minimal. If the front does not move, the model pinpointed the blue-shaded area as the most likely spot for storm initiation.

The model suggested initiation could begin within the next 30 minutes, according to the WoFS output. However, the run also showed abundant convective inhibition, or CIN, limiting upscale storm growth.
