Forecasters say a storm complex moving into the area from the west-southwest could bring a low-to-moderate chance of strong showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds this evening.
The risk is expected to persist over the next 24 hours, forecasters said, with the highest potential for stronger storms while the complex moves through.
Forecasters urged residents to take standard thunderstorm precautions, advising, “When thunder roars, go indoors!”
Residents were advised to monitor local forecasts and warnings for updates and to follow guidance from local emergency officials, forecasters said.
