Free hurricane-preparedness materials are available online to help residents ahead of the peak of hurricane season, the GoMDOT website said.
The site urges residents to make sure their families are ready in case a storm strikes and to use the free resources at GoMDOT.com/Hurricanes, the website said.
The GoMDOT website noted that the Mississippi Gulf Coast has seen little hurricane activity so far this season but warned that storms can develop quickly.
