Organizers of National Work Zone Awareness Week urged the public to wear orange on Go Orange Day on Wednesday, April 22, to show support for work zone safety, according to NWZAW.org.
The campaign aims to draw attention to hazards faced by roadside workers and to promote safer driving near work zones, organizers said.
Organizers urged people to spread the word on social media and other channels and directed those seeking more information to NWZAW.org.
Go Orange Day is part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, organizers said, and is intended as a visible show of support for roadside workers’ safety.
