The Kids Farmers Market will be held on the Square in downtown Ripley from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6, organizers said. The market precedes the Burnside Music Festival, which organizers said will follow with live music and family activities.
Organizers said young entrepreneurs will sell homemade crafts, produce, treats, candles, shirts, lures, soaps and lemonade. They encouraged shoppers to support the vendors and to shop locally.
Organizers said the Burnside Music Festival will offer Hill Country blues along with food vendors, shopping and family-friendly events. They urged attendees to stick around for the afternoon and evening performances.
Retailer Macs & Milli announced it will open special hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and will run a summer sale. The store said shoppers can buy one item and get a second item 50 percent off on swimwear, T-shirts, tanks and shorts, and take an extra 20 percent off all sale items.
