McCoy Rather has been issued a Mississippi learner’s permit, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Driver Service Bureau said.
The bureau advised applicants to make an appointment online before visiting a driver service center to avoid waiting and provided its appointment site at https://www.driverservicebureau.dps.ms.gov/.
The bureau congratulated Rather and urged new permit holders to drive safely as they gain experience, and it encouraged others seeking permits to schedule appointments in advance, the agency said.
