Air Quality Alert for Memphis Area Through Tomorrow, NWS Says
The National Weather Service in Memphis said an Air Quality Alert remains in effect for the Memphis metropolitan area through tomorrow.
The agency said stagnant summertime air has trapped pollutants over the region, resulting in reduced air quality.
The pattern should begin to lift by the beginning of next week, the NWS said.
Until then, the National Weather Service urged residents to use extra caution when outdoors.
