MDOT holds annual Equipment Operators Roadeo in Batesville
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said it held its annual Equipment Operators Roadeo for District 2 at the district headquarters in Batesville on April 16.
The department said the event focused on efficiency and skill and gave employees opportunities to demonstrate vehicle handling, trailer maneuvering and heavy-equipment precision.
The department said the Roadeo’s event and judging criteria provided feedback to help operators evaluate their strengths and challenges.
The department said operators used the competition to improve techniques, learn new skills and engage in friendly competition.
