The Mississippi Department of Transportation held its annual State Equipment Operators Roadeo at the Gulfport Sportsplex on Thursday, July 16, the agency said. Winners from the event will advance to the Southeastern Regional Equipment Operators Training Conference and Roadeo, scheduled for Oct. 6-8 in Hampton, Virginia, MDOT said.
Contestants in the state competition qualified by winning earlier roadeos in each of MDOT’s six districts, the agency said.
