Miss. DOT holds Equipment Operators Roadeo in Tupelo

The Mississippi Department of Transportation held its annual Equipment Operators Roadeo for District 1 at the district headquarters in Tupelo on April 9, the department said.

The Roadeo focused on efficiency and skill and gave employees a chance to demonstrate vehicle handling, trailer maneuvering and heavy equipment precision, MDOT said.

Judging criteria at the event were designed to provide feedback and help operators evaluate their strengths and challenges, the department said.

MDOT said operators used the event to improve techniques, learn new skills and take part in friendly competition.
