Two months of meteorological summer are complete, and July brought slightly above-normal temperatures across the Mid-South, according to a local climate summary.
The summary said all four primary climate sites — Memphis, Jackson, Tupelo and Jonesboro — recorded temperatures a bit above their July normals. It said precipitation trends, however, varied by location.
The report reviewed how June and July stacked up at the four stations but did not provide detailed totals or departures in the summary text.
Meteorological summer runs June through August, so one more month remains in the season, the summary noted.
