Miss. DOT to close State Route 427 for bridge replacement starting Aug. 24

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said State Route 427 will be closed in both directions between Rocky Rd. Ln. and State Route 16 in Leake County starting Aug. 24 for a bridge replacement project.

MDOT said the closure is expected to remain in place until approximately spring 2027.

During the closure, MDOT said traffic will be detoured from SR 427 to SR 15 in Philadelphia in Neshoba County by using SR 16 east, then south on SR 21 to SR 488 to return to the south side of the closure on SR 427.
