The Mississippi Department of Transportation is seeking applicants for a transportation infrastructure maintenance technician I position in Panola County, the agency said.
MDOT said the entry-level role is assigned to its Facilities Maintenance Crew and involves the least complex equipment operation and maintenance.
According to the agency, duties include repairing traffic signals; installing and maintaining signs; applying herbicide, pesticide and snow and ice chemicals; roadway striping; traffic control; and patching potholes. MDOT said the position also responds to natural and man-made disasters.
Interested applicants must apply by Tuesday, Sept. 15. MDOT provided an online application at https://bit.ly/4ykF3TS, the agency said.
