State agencies gave more than $636 million to nonprofits in fiscal 2025, the office said.

The office said past audits found some nonprofits spent state funds on DJs and beer for parties, Lyft rides after 3:30 a.m. and gym memberships.

The office said it is dedicated to eliminating fraud, waste and abuse and promoting transparency. The office said it created a nonprofit spending dashboard to help taxpayers see where their money is going.

The nonprofit spending dashboard is available on the office’s website under the “Reports” tab, the office said.
