Mississippi digital forensics director wins Law&Crime JUSTYS award

Wayne Cantrell, director of digital forensics for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, received the Digital Investigation Catalyst Award from the Law&Crime Network’s JUSTYS Awards, the department said.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said the award recognizes leaders in the digital investigations field who not only keep pace with evolving technology but help drive it forward.

The department said Cantrell has strengthened collaboration and expanded resources to change how investigations are conducted and to make a lasting impact across the field of digital investigations.

The agency announced the honor in a post congratulating Cantrell, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
