The Mississippi Department of Transportation urged motorists to use its free MDOT Traffic app before traveling for the Memorial Day weekend, the department said.
MDOT said the app provides updates on traffic slowdowns and live road conditions to help drivers plan their routes.
Motorists can download the app or visit MDOTtraffic.com for the latest travel information, the department said.
MDOT also encouraged drivers to check conditions before departing and to travel safely over the holiday weekend, the department said.
